The NPS recommends staying at least 100-yards from a wild bear when you’re out in the wilderness. And even then, you’d better be able to run quickly if you need to!

Seems these morons didn’t get the message. It’s almost like they want to be mauled. Following which the bear would probably be euthanized.
Seriously, what’s wrong with people?!?!? Of course, if that bear would have freaked and attacked one of those city-dwellers, the bear would have been put down instead of the people, which would have been wrong
