Beartooth Basin is open from Memorial Day Weekend until July only. It’s North America’s only exclusively summer ski resort. This place is legendary and well worth a visit this summer as they saw around 150% of normal snowfall this year.
Beartooth is hoping to open this Sunday, May 25th.
“Things up at the Basin are shaping up. We are dealing with the normal issues associated with this time of year and a normal to above normal snow pack. We have done our cornice control work and we are just waiting on the Park to get the WY portion of the road plowed so we can get the rest of gear in place to finish setting up. There are a couple of variables that we are watching (plowing, weather, lift inspections, final preparations, etc) but we are hoping to be open next Sunday the 25th!” – Justin Modroo, Beartooth owner, May 19th, 2014
