More details in the full announcement below:

Big Sky Skiers &ย Riders,

The resort is buzzingย with activityย as we prepare to welcome guests back for the 2021-2022ย winterย seasonย on Thanksgiving Day.ย Like last year, our plansย are adaptable, but weย are taking steps toward a more normal operating plan for this coming winter,ย withย reasonableย health and safety protocolsย in placeย to ensureย aย safe and successful season.ย With major improvements across the entire resort, weโ€™reย excited to show you what weโ€™ve been working on.

On the mountain, you can expectย chairlifts and theย Lone Peakย Tramย toย resume loading toย full capacity,ย with no requirement to mask upย outdoors.ย Restaurants and indoor spaces will also open to fullย capacityย to serve our guests.ย While we are not currently requiringย facial coverings indoors, we are requiring employees who are unvaccinated to mask up andย strongly encourage everyone toย mask upย unless seated andย eatingย or drinking.

Navigating our second season of operations with the threat of Covid-19 present, you can expect our teams to fully comply, and where possible, exceed the federal, state, and local standards outlined for health and safety.ย Ourย workforce will be required to obtain a fullย vaccinationย orย submit a weekly negative Covid test to work at our facilities in order to keep our guests, team members, and the broader community safe.

Whileย weโ€™reย all eagerย toย start the seasonย andย showcaseย ourย new projects; none of it is possible without theย hard workย from so many teammates this summerย for whichย I’mย forever grateful.ย As we approach the halfway point toย ourย Big Sky 2025ย vision, the resort experience is going to be better than everย andย these improvementsย willย have a lasting impact forย years to come.

    • Swift Current 6ย constructionย isย onย schedule.ย The new,ย six-person, high-speed liftย is in the certification process andย will be ready to go for Opening Day.
    • As aย part of theย Swift Current 6ย project,ย major grading workย aroundย the base areaย willย significantly improveย skier flow.
    • Five miles of new snowmaking along Mr. Kย will be a gamechanger forย ourย early-season ski experience.
    • The Swifty terrain parkย willย benefitย from the new snowmakingย systemย withย all-new jump lines and features.
    • The most extensiveย gladeย maintenance and tree cleanupย everย has been completed this summer,ย significantly improvingย the ski experienceย in nearly all areas of the mountain.
    • A brand-new workforce housing facility has been completed right hereย withinย walking distance to Mountain Village, with employees moving inย nowย to begin the winter season.
    • Finally,ย weโ€™re debutingย the biggestย set ofย hotel renovationsย in Big Sky historyย at theย Summit Hotel and Huntley Lodge.ย Both hotelsย featureย new,ย modern guest rooms and amenities, truly elevating the lodging offerings in Mountain Village.

We’re gratefulย toย our guests, team members, and community forย sharing another exciting season on Lone Mountain with us.ย Weย haveย many more projects in the pipeline, and Iโ€™m looking forward to sharing more about those soon.
