Too much snow should never be a problem for ski resorts.ย But that is the problem Big Sky Resort, MT is having right now as it attempts to open for summer activities.
Since closing on April 24th, the resort has seen 3-4 feet of fresh snow, severely hampering mountain crews’ mission to prepare the area for summer visitors.
Hiking and biking trails are still all under snow, so the resort will have a staggered opening with some activities beginning next weekend, and others the following weekend.
Trail conditions will be continuously evaluated and updates will be posted online. If you have any questions regarding purchases made for dated tickets during this period, please contact the resort.
