Skip to 1:50, 2:40, 4:33, 6:50, 8:05 for the stunning slow mo images
The guys a Smarter Every Day do some fun stuff but nothing we’ve seen yet is this spectacular and simultaneously educational.
In this video they are shooting an AK-47 in a pool. They capture this gun shooting a bullet at 27,450 frames per second underwater an it’s simply gorgeous.
Better yet, they explain what is going on with the different bubbles and why they form and then implode back on themselves. Watching all this happen in slow motion is unreal.
These Smarter Every Day guys are pretty cool – all they do are Brain Posts.
Oh, and if you’re interested in the physics of this experiment, you’ve got to skip to 7:15 and learn about the Bernoulli Principle and more interesting facts about Flow and Pressure.
My calculations differed somewhat?
Those guys is smart.
Always wondered how far a bullet would go in water. about 5 feet only.
Bernoulli rules!
