Breakdancing is now an official Olympic sport as of Monday.
According to KCRA News, the International Olympic Committee’s pursuit of urban events to lure a younger audience resulted in the official addition of breakdancing to the medal events program at the 2024 Paris Games.
Skateboarding, sport climbing, and surfing were also confirmed for Paris by the IOC executive board.Â
Those three sports will make their Olympic debuts at the Tokyo Games which had to be postponed because of the coronavirus pandemic by one year.
The Tokyo Games are planned to commence on July 23, 2021.
The Paris Games are planned for July 26, 2020.
Is breakdancing a sport ?
Pretty lame attempt by the Olympic committee to be progressive and modern.
Paris games are in 2024, not 2020.
And the woke crowd dances. Breakdances.
