Brian Head Resort, UT, Extends Season to May 12

Brian Head Resort in Southern Utah announced today, April 29, that it will extend its ski season, adding an extra weekend of bonus skiing and riding from Friday, May 10 through Sunday, May 12. The resort was previously scheduled to close on Sunday, May 5, which was an extension to its original closing date of April 14. Thanks to some late season snow, this extends the season a whole four weeks from its original closing date.

The resort has received 10-inches of snow in the last 48 hours, pushing the resort’s season snowfall total to 306-inches. As of today, the resort has an impressive 63-inch base with powder/packed powder conditions.

 

Lift tickets for the extended season can be purchased in advance for as low as $19, while kids 12 and under ski free all season long.

 

Extended season operations:

  • Monday, April 29 through Sunday, May 5: The Giant Steps Express (Chair 2) will run from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., 7 days per week. The Giant Steps Lodge will continue to offer rentals, lessons, food and beverages.
  • The resort will be closed from Monday, May 6, through Thursday, May 9.
  • The resort will reopen on Friday, May 10, through Sunday, May 12, turning the Giant Steps Express (Chair 2) from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
