Brian Head Resort, Utah, announced today, December 7, 2023, that the resort has started spinning the Giant Steps Lift. The high-speed lift, also known as Lift 2, ย provides top to bottom skiing on the upper Sunburst and Lower Double Aught trails. The opening of the Giant Steps lift was possible thanks to natural snowfalls as well as recent upgrades of its snowmaking infrastructure on the Lower Aught trail. Brian Head invested over $500,000 into more efficient snow cannons as well as a new SnowCat PistenBully 400 Groomer.

Brian Head is Utahโ€™s southernmost ski resort, located 3.5 hours north of Las Vegas and four hours south of Salt Lake City. The resort stretches across an area of 660 acres on two mountains, Navajo Peak Mountain and Brian Head Peak Mountain, stretching over a total of 1,707 feet in vertical. The resort boasts eight lifts of which four are currently in operation. Brian Head features 71 trails of which 20 are currently open.ย Night skiing is also open every Friday and Saturday from 4pm – 9pm.

On December 25, 2023, Santa has plans to ski at Brian Head Resort. The resort invites everyone to make some turns with the big guy. Skiing and snowboarding is always free for kids 12 and under at Brian Head.
