Just as we were thinking that Utah couldn’t be having a better start to winter we find out it can. We just found out that a second resort here in Utah will be opening Friday, November 8th, and it happens to be Solitudes neighbor who announced yesterday they would be opening on the 8th.

Our snowmaking and grooming crew (and as well as every other employee of Brighton) have been feverishly pushing snow around on the mountain. So, without further ado, we would like to announce we will be OPENING on Friday, November 8th, 2013!!!

We will be opening up with:
2 lifts: Explorer and Majestic
3 trails
Mini terrain park
$37 adult lift tickets

This is great news as both resorts in Big Cottonwood Canyon will now be open 7 days a week until spring. With any luck this will provide extra motivation for Snowbird and Alta to open early as well. I went up to both today to check out conditions and it is very apparent the snow-making crews have been pumping A LOT!
