Prince Andrew, younger brother of Prince Charles and 8th inline to the British throne is facing legal action over an alleged unpaid ski chalet bill of $8.4-million (ยฃ6.7-million).
Andrew and his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, bought the seven-bedroom home in the ski resort of Verbier, Switzerland for $23-million (ยฃ18.3m) in 2014 but allegedly failed to pay off the third installment by a deadline of December 2019.ย According to Swiss media, a sum of $6.2million (ยฃ5m) was due to be paid at the end of 2019, which has since risen to $8.4-million.

It is understood that Andrew and his ex-wife are planning to sell the chalet and use the proceeds to clear any outstanding debt.
The Royal Family of Buckingham Palace has declined to comment on the reports.
