Ever dream of endless, private powder? Now is your chance to make that a reality… but only if you have a spare $19.5 million that’s burning a hole in your pocket. A home services division of the enormous conglomerate holding company Berkshire Hathaway is selling property smack in the middle of Vail and Beaver Creek, called Battle Mountain Ranch, for any one fortunate enough to chalk up eight digits for the 4,676 acres.
They are marketing the property as a “residential ski area development concept,” where future landowner(s) and homeowner(s) would have access to private pow. There is already cat skiing offered on the peak, which the broker promises can be expanded, along with a possibility for multiple lifts. This is grade-A terrain we are talking about, as it is propped just beyond Vail’s legendary Back Bowls, and has a supposed 340 inches of annual snowfall and 2,570 feet of vertical.
“Own your own personal 4,676 acre mountain ranch or share it with others. The choice is yours.”- Battle Mountain Ranch.
Keep on dreaming about the possibility to make this your home- or maybe hit the lottery? Or watch Vail buy it out from beneath us, and make a mega-mega resort? We will see.
