If you’ve got a million or two put to one side waiting for the opportunity of a lifetime, then we might just have something to tempt you. Mt. Timothy ski area near Lac la Hache, between 100 Mile House and Williams Lake in central British Columbia, Canada is for sale. And it’s all ready to go for the upcoming 2018/19 season, just pay the money and pick up the key.
The ski area boasts 657-acres, nearly 1,000′ vertical, andย an average annual snowfall of 200″ of interior BC blower powder.ย Although the price isn’t publically available, snowsbest.com reports that it’s for sale at CA$1.7-million, or just over $1.3-million. Less than the price of a condo in some resorts!
Also included in the price is 30 runs, a triple chair, t-bar, 2 carpets, and a platter plus a day lodge, residence, AND retail shop. Bargain, right?
The reason for the sale? Last year the resort started a GoFund Me campaign to raise $50,000 for the non-profit volunteer-run business to continue. Instead, they raised $14,000 and posted this a week ago on their Facebook page.
Without a buyer, the resort won’t open this year. So if it does take your fancy, you could just keep it as your own private winter playground, or open to the public and recoup some of the cost selling tickets.
