Cannonsburg Ski Hill, MI, will host Red Bull’s inaugural Jib-Tac-Tow, a new, first-of-its-kind street snowboarding competition, on Saturday, February 3, 2024. Inspired by the nostalgic game of tic-tac-toe, teams will compete by completing “jibs,” or tricks, within each square of a life-sized tic-tac-toe board, showing off skills that challenge the limits of the classic Michigan rope tow terrain park.

Red Bull is looking for crews of Midwestern amateur snowboarders to battle for X’s and O’s in an unforgettable day of street snowboarding action. While spots for teams are filling up fast, there’s still room on the waitlist for local amateur snowboarders to join the buzz and assemble a team of three to four. Please note that teams must consist of United States residents above the age of 18 and, if accepted from the waitlist, will need to pay $30. Those interested can register for the Jib-Tac-Tow at www.redbull.com/us-en/events/red-bull-jib-tac-tow/.

On February 3, teams will compete at Cannonsburg Ski Hill, by completing “jibs” within each square of the life-sized tic-tac-toe board, showing off skills that challenge the limits of the classic Michigan rope tow terrain park. Inspired by the schoolyard classic, snowboarders will be judged on their ability to impress the judges with their tricks in ways that test the limits of a typical rail jam.

Headlining the panel of judges is Red Bull athlete Grace Warner, a Michigan-based leading street snowboarder who brought the iconic Red Bull Heavy Metal to Hart Plaza in February 2023 for the first time. Joining her will be contributing editor of Snowboard Magazine Mary Walsh and Grand Rapids-based street snowboarder Bret Kulas.

“The Midwest is often overlooked in the snowboarding world, but the terrain parks here have given snowboarders an entirely different set of features to master that you can’t find anywhere else. Red Bull Jib-Tac-Tow will be another opportunity for Midwest riders to show off our best.”

Teams of three to four will face off in a double-elimination bracket. The first-place team will score an exclusive trip to watch the iconic street snowboarding event, Red Bull Heavy Metal, returning to Minnesota on February 10, 2024. Red Bull Jib-Tac-Tow will be hosted by renowned snowboarding critic and comedian Stan Leveille.

Red Bull and Cannonsburg Ski Hill will welcome spectators free of cost to view the competition. Audiences can enjoy watching the snowboarders compete along with music from DJ Chris Tha Cat and food from Cannonsburg Ski Hill’s Cedar Lounge. Cannonsburg Ski Hill is located at 6800 Cannonsburg Road North East, Belmont, Michigan.
