Located in the White Mountains of New Hampshire, King Pine is a small but mighty ski area offering alpine and cross country skiing. In addition, King Pine offers one of the cheapest day ticket prices this season at just $4 for an adult day lift ticket. Yes, you read that write, $4 for a day of skiing, about the same price as a gallon of gas. This offer is however only valid for one specific day: Thursday, December 21, 2023.

At most ski resorts $4 won’t buy you a side dish at the lodge, and many of us are used to paying triple that for a single beer. Even Costco, which has promised not to give in to inflation, charges a whopping $4.99 for its rotisserie chicken. New Englanders with $5.00 burning a hole in your pocket: save yourself 99 cents and buy the lift ticket instead of the chicken.

With its astonishingly cheap ticket price, King Pine hopes that “skiers and riders will enjoy a true throwback to earlier times.” Truly a throwback, King Pine first opened in the winter of 1962/63 and charged — you guessed it — $4 for a lift ticket. Although a $4 lift ticket is not sustainable long term for today’s resorts, it is awesome to see King Pine going back to its roots and saving skiers some money. If you’re in the area and have a few ones laying around, take advantage of this sweet deal and ride King Pine!
