Mammoth Mountain, CA, Adjusts Opening Hours for Spring Skiing

As the ski season winds down, Mammoth Mountain, California, is adjusting its operating hours and lift schedule to accommodate the changing weather and visitation patterns. Beginning Monday, May 6, the resort will shift to daily operating hours of 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Additionally, the Rollercoaster Express (Lift 4) will be closed Monday through Thursday and only open on weekends (Friday through Sunday) through Memorial Day weekend.

Starting Monday, May 6, through Thursday, May 9, the available lifts will be Stump Alley Express (Lift 2), Face Lift Express (Lift 3), High 5 Express (Lift 5), Unbound Express (Lift 6), Gold Rush Express (Lift 10), Discovery Express (Lift 11), Chair 23, and the Upper and Lower Panorama Gondola.

These changes are part of the resort’s seasonal adjustments as it transitions from the winter ski season to the summer outdoor recreation season. Skiers and snowboarders should check the resort’s website or mobile app for the most up-to-date information on lift operations and hours.

Mammoth Mountain has seen 367″ of snow at the summit this season and has a 100″ base.
