Report from January 13, 2023

I awoke in Calgary, Canada at Brother Li Homestay at 3am in -32ºC temps yesterday.

Drove to rental car place, dropped off car, jumped in Lyft, and rolled into the Calgary airport.

After a strong dousing of de-icing fluid, we were off to SLC, UT.

Hoped on a bus to my car in the lot then up to Park City.

Food, nap, rest.

Hit Deer Valley at about 2pm.

Damn fun chowder moguls and tree skiing off the Sultan chair – which I’d never ridden.

Note:  It has snowed over 21″ since I skied DV yesterday…

Legit, damn fun terrain.

From there I staggered into the Sticky Wicket media party at the Silver Lake base area.

I got to meet Wayne Wong and hang out with the Deer Valley crew.

I even had a Wasatch Mule and I almost never drink…

Amazing food, tasty High West Distillery drinks, and some great stories from the peeps.

I bounced about 5:45pm and passed out by 9pm.

Terrifically varied and wild day!
