Details about “Springtastic” Closing Weekend at Keystone, CO, on April 6 & 7

Spring is in the air, and Keystone Resort, Colorado, is celebrating the conclusion of an incredible season with its annual Springtastic Closing Weekend Celebration at the Mountain House base area. The festivities kick off Saturday, April 6 with the Rail Jam Competition, where participants can show off their park skills for a chance to win cash prizes, gear and more. Participants must be ages 14+ and are encouraged to register in advance on the Resort webpage.

On Sunday, April 7, Keystone’s Annual Slush Cup makes its splash-tacular return, featuring the only kid-sized pond skim in the county. Participants of all ages are invited to sink or skim in style for a chance to win a variety of prizes from our partners, including Helly Hansen, Oakley and GoPro! Helmets are required, costumes are encouraged. Keystone is celebrating what has been a truly unique season for the Resort. This winter, Keystone celebrated the opening of its brand-new Bergman Express chair, providing guests with lift access to Keystone’s high alpine terrain for the first time ever.

“From exploring our World’s Largest Mountaintop Snow Fort to opening our brand-new Bergman Express chairlift, this season at Keystone has been one to remember,” said Chris Sorensen, General Manager and Vice President of Keystone Resort. “Our Springtastic Closing Weekend is a Keystone staple, and I can’t think of a better way to celebrate the end of an absolutely incredible winter.”

Keystone partners Nature Valley, Kona Big Wave, Toyota and the US Forest Service will keep the party going throughout the weekend with swag, samples and more in the Mountain House Base Area. 

 

Registration for the weekend’s activities and additional information around our Springtastic Celebration can be found on our event details page.All proceeds from the event will be donated to the Epic Promise Foundation, which supports Vail Resorts employees with emergency relief and educational scholarships. The Foundation provides over $1M annually in employee grants, with donations going directly to employees in need.

 

Through the end of the season on Sunday, April 7, Keystone Resort plans to operate all three peaks, including this year’s brand-new Bergman Express chair, from 9 am to 4 pm, as weather and conditions permit.
