Eaglecrest Ski Area, AK, Report: 17-Day Snowfall Streak Has Dumped 59" This Week Alone

It just won’t stop snowing at Eaglecrest Ski Area, AK. The resort is on a 17-day streak that has delivered 59″ of fresh snow in the last week alone, including a 12″ powder day at the weekend, 20″ in the last 48 hours, and another 6″ this morning.

The resort has seen an impressive 303″ of fresh snow this season and has a 152″ base.

Yesterday felt like a bottomless pow day with snow showers throughout, and the forecast for the rest of the week looks just as promising. This morning’s opening was delayed due to continued avalanche control work, and uphill access was closed while ski patrol performed avalanche mitigation work.
