Valle Nevado, Chile got their first snow storm of the year this past week. Â They got about 5+ inches and it blanketed the local landscape well.
When it’s on, road laps from nearby El Colorado can be all-time.  The road laps are reportedly the best skiing in the area and the video at the bottom of this article allows a prominent view of why.
If you’re thinking of skiing South America this summer, it’s time to start planning a bit.  We recommend showing up in Early August and staying for about a month.  July has all the big winter break holiday crowds and can thin and inconsistent on the snow front.
