Powder King Mountain Resort, British Columbia, is still for sale. Its asking price has been slashed by C$2.35 million (US$1.64 million) to C$5.9 million (US$4.12 million). This significant reduction comes after resolving a complex ownership dispute stemming from the untimely death of former co-owner James Christopher Salisbury in April 2022.
The sale includes a 50-room hostel-style hotel, pub, dining room, staff accommodations, and ski facilities. The adjacent Azouzetta Lake Resort, featuring cabins, campsites, a gas station, a store, and a cafe, is also part of the deal. According to Vancouver is Awesome, the reduced price tag makes all this comparable to a six-bedroom house in Vancouver.

The resortโs future previously hinged on unsigned wills left by Salisbury. On November 6, 2023, the British Columbia Supreme Court validated these documents, granting full ownership to his widow, Heidi Robyn Salisbury, paving the way for the current sale offering.
