As skiers, we’ve probably all thought of it…Places we wish we could ski but due to technology at the time period are unable to. ย For example, the Valhalla Forest Segment, or even simply wanting to ski a line but your gear isn’t good enough to get you there. ย Luckily that wasn’t the case for Chuck Patterson. ย After watching Mike Douglas and Cody Townsend ski waves in 2009, chuck began to rethink his surfing ski design, and by 2011, Chuck developed a better ski and chased a huge swell to Pe’ahi (Jaws) on Maui. ย
Chuck Patterson is an absolute animal. ย He used to be a professional freeskier and then made his move to Hawaii where he’s now respected as a professional waterman. ย Skip to 1:18 in the video to see his first ski-surf-tow-in.
This guy has a thirst that cannot be quenched, and simply likes to find the actual limits of what is possible. Our hats at Snowbrains go off to you Chuck.
