Friday Fun: HUGE Boulder Nearly Crushes Car in Taiwan Landslide

SnowBrains |

On August 31st, 2013 a rock and mud slide crashed down onto this road in Taiwan.  The boulder that comes down with the slide is enormous and nearly rolls onto a white sedan before teetering back harmlessly.  It’s a incredible thing to watch.  It looks like a cartoon.  The boulder gets within 1 foot of the car…

This happened in northern Taiwan on Beining Road.  This road heads to New Taipei City’s Ruifang District from the Zhongzheng District.

A tropical storm caused heavy rains that in turn caused the landslide.

Landslide warnings were in effect during this storm on August 31st.  Another landslide in the south of Taiwan caused a train crash that injured 17 people according to China’s state run Central News Agency.
