A shooting incident unfolded near Homewood Mountain Resort, California, yesterday, according to the Placer County Sheriff’s Office.
The victim, discovered at West Lake Boulevard and Silver Street, was swiftly transported to the hospital. The incident occurred near the closed Swiss Lakewood restaurant. According to online comments a disagreement between two men led to one shooting the other.
Homewood Mountain Resort emphasized that the incident did not occur on resort grounds.
“Deputies responded to reports of a shooting, and located one victim who has since been transported by medical. The victims status is currently unknown. The suspect is still outstanding and detectives are currently on scene. Please stay tuned for updates.”
Authorities report the suspect is still at large and unidentified.
