It’s Monday people, and hence it is time for Music Mondays, where we here at Snowbrains try and bring you an artist we think belongs on your playlist, whether for skiing, biking, or whatever. This week we bring you Imagine Dragons. Hailing from Las Vegas, Imagine Dragons is a fresh new rock, alternative band that brings an awesome sound and is a favorite among the ski edit community. While we have all heard Radioactive one to many times ever since MSP used it for their movie trailer last year, Imagine Dragons has quite a few songs that have not seen the play they deserve.

Imagine Dragons formed in 2008 in Las Vegas, Nevada, and released their first two EP’s Imagine Dragons EP and, Hell and Silence EP in 2010. In 2010 at the “Bite of Las Vegas” Festival, Imagine Dragons filled in for Train to a crowd of more than 26,000 people, it was their first big break, and got numerous accolades from the local media. From there Imagine Dragons signed with Interscope records in November of 2011, and released the EP Continued Silence which peaked at #40 on the Billboard top 200. Then in 2012 the band released their debut album Night Visions which peaked at #2 on the Billboard top 200, with the single “Radioactive” reaching #1 on the Billboard Alternative as well as the Billboard Rock songs. While I’ll admit, “Radioactive” made one sick trailer song for MSP last year, I’ve heard it one to many times. However the rest of Imagine Dragons catalogue is for the most part untouched, so look em up, and enjoy.

  1. Imagine Dragons is so over-played. Yes, a track was featured in a TGR trailer, and yes it was a strong song, but now its on mainstream radio.
