(TETON VILLAGE, WYO. – NOV. 21, 2023)Jackson Hole Mountain Resort (JHMR) is pleased to announce the kickoff of the 2023-24 winter season with two lifts on Opening Day, Friday, Nov. 24. Coming on the heels of last year’s record snowfall in Rendezvous Bowl, the resort’s continuous snowmaking efforts coupled with 62 inches of snowfall on the summit and 33 inches mid-mountain have combined with snowmaking efforts to give visitors coverage across much of the north side of the resort beginning the day after Thanksgiving.

Opening Day will kick off the longest season ever at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, with lifts spinning until April 14, a total of 143 days.

JMHR will open a variety of terrain connected by two lifts on Opening Day: Teewinot and Après Vous. Using these two lifts, visitors will have the opportunity to access a collection of beginner and intermediate terrain. Early season conditions still exist and all guests are advised to stay out of closed areas and look for hazards.

JHMR hopes to announce additional terrain openings for the weekend of Dec. 2-3.

“We’re ready to welcome our guests to our 2023-24 season at the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort on Opening Day!” said JHMR President Mary Kate Buckley. “Our continued investments in snowmaking, coupled with our grooming crews working around the clock, will support our opening on schedule this Friday, Nov. 24 at 9 a.m. Lift service will be limited, and we urge caution, as early-season conditions exist. The weather forecast provides for cold temperatures, ideal for continued snowmaking and grooming and improved conditions.”

JHMR is once again limiting the sale of daily tickets and managing capacity for a fourth consecutive year in 2023-24, greatly improving guests’ experiences on the mountain and throughout the resort. JHMR emphasizes that ticket sales are limited on a daily basis and are available for advanced purchase and that tickets may sell out. Due to demand, JHMR encourages all skiers and riders to make reservations as required for its multi-resort pass products or purchase day tickets in advance.

Ikon Pass and Mountain Collective pass holders are required to make reservations for lift access. JHMR recommends making reservations well in advance. Guests who purchased a JHMR Winter 2023-24 Season Pass can ski or ride on any day indicated by their pass type.

JHMR is also pleased to announce that RPK3, the resort’s popular slope-side kitchen, and bar adjacent to the Aerial Tram, will be open for visitors on Nov. 24 from 11 a.m. – 6 p.m., offering apres-ski small bites, specialty drinks, and more.

RPK3 will also be the first JHMR restaurant to debut the new Jackson Hole Lager from Melvin Brewing, beginning Nov. 24. The beer will be available on draft across the resort as more dining locations open their doors throughout the winter.

The General Store and Cafe 6311 will also open on Nov 24.

JHMR will also celebrate the new winter season when it hosts its first-ever Ski In Jeans Day on Saturday, Dec. 9 in an attempt to break the world record for most people skiing and riding in jeans. JHMR will offer $25 lift tickets throughout the day to all guests, as well as $25 performance equipment rentals, $100 off group lessons, and live music to kick off the season and celebrate the most famous pants in the West.

JHMR is proud to partner with Jeep, Coca-Cola, Nature Valley, Monster Energy, Mammut, YETI, Sweet Protection, Gore-Tex Brand, GoPro, Scott Sports, Smartwool, and Kiehl’s.
