Jimmy Chin’s outstanding adventure photography is known all over the world. His photos have been on the covers of top magazines like National Geographic and The New York Times. He’s also an Academy-Award-winning director for his film, Free Solo. Now, for the first time ever, he’s publishing a photo book of his astonishing work.
The book, There and Back, includes over 200 of Chin’s most iconic photographs. As a professional mountain sports athlete himself, Chin has participated in stunning expeditions all over the world alongside some of the world’s most extraordinary outdoor athletes, including climber Alex Honnold and snowboarder Travis Rice. The end result is a book full of jaw-dropping images.
The portfolio of photographs is accompanied by stories written by Chin. He explains the behind-the-scenes details of each photo, and the often death-defying situations and tough conditions he’s coped with to get the perfect shot.
