Russian goalkeeper Ivan Zaborovsky, 16, has made a miraculous recovery after he was struck by lightning during a training session earlier this month.
Video of the freak incident shows the teenager being hit by the bolt as he goes to kick a ball into the goal. Zaborovsky falls to the ground, with his nearby teammates initially oblivious,  before he was then rushed to hospital with severe burns.
He was placed into an induced coma while his injuries were assessed but, after less than three weeks, Zaborovsky is back playing with his teammates.
Zaborovsky says he doesn’t remember the incident and has just a burn on his chest as a result.
“It was difficult to breathe, but that’s about it,” he said. “It’s getting better and better now. Things are back to normal.”
