The first storm of a snow filled week hit Tuesday evening.

Wednesday we woke up to 8” at Main Lodge and totals of 2+ feet on the upper-mountain.

The storm arrived a bit warm which is why larger totals accumulated up higher elevations originally. But temps eventually dropped making  the 8” we received mountain-wide extremely rippable . Winds stayed calm and the sun even came out for much of the morning, allowing for all of the mountain besides the top to open. The powder was perfect  for speed turns, flow, cliff/rock drops and a mean slash.

Later in the afternoon Wed. temps dropped the clouds rolled back in and it started DUMPING… from about 1-7pm 7” of light blower pow fell and we are about to get after that this morning.

The forecast is calling for the second large storm to move in Thursday afternoon with multiple feet possible by the weekend. #MammothMarch continues.
