Mammoth Mountain has declared that theyโ€™ll stay open at least until Memorial Day, May 27th, 2013. ย Which is damn good considering the rough year weโ€™ve had in the Sierras.

In fact, recent numbers from snow study sites in the Southern Sierra (where Mammoth is) show 42% of normal precipitation for the season thus far. ย 42%, thatโ€™s really bad.

With this fact in mind, itโ€™s very impressive that Mammoth can stay open so long. ย Props to Mammoth.

If you havenโ€™t been to Mammoth in the springtime, youโ€™re missing out. ย Mammoth shines brightest in the spring with huge parks, good parties, and quality spring skiing all spring. ย Not to mention the influx of good looking people from Southern California.
