Upwards of 3 FEET of new snow is being reported in parts of the Austrian Alps, like the Stubai Glacier, as of today, Thursday, November 14. Other glaciers in the region are reporting snow totals of 18-24″. It looks like a promising start to ski season in Austria and various parts of the Alps.
Several glacier regions of the Alps have reported up to 3 feet of snow or more in the past week, and next week’s forecast is calling for even more snowfall.
Note: It’s still early in the season and it’s hard to say just how much impact these storms will have on the start of the ski season in Austria. Weather patterns and temperatures are subject to rapid change at this time of year. However, it is looking good as of right now.
