With almost a foot of snow already on the ground and more on the way throughout the night and into Friday morning, winter just isn’t ready to quit at Mammoth Mountain, CA. The National weather service issued a winter advisory forecasting up to 2 feet at higher elevations, and given the current totals, two feet is quite possible.

As it stands, Mammoth has received the second most snow in the country, but this current storm might just take them into first place! Currently, at 695″ for the season (at the summit), can they surpass 700″?
Mammoth announced several months ago that it will stay open through at least July 4th weekend and conditions permitting, possibly longer.
