Monarch Mountain, CO, Closed Today Due to High Winds

Monarch Mountain, Colorado, announced on their social media accounts that the resort will be closed today, February 27, due to high winds. The resort expects to be open again tomorrow, February 28.
“We will not be able to open today (2/27/24) due to extremely high winds. If you had a reservation, our team will contact you to reschedule or refund your purchases. We appreciate your understanding, and look forward to seeing you soon.”
Monarch Mountain is located near the top of Monarch Pass, just 20 miles from Salida, an authentic Colorado mountain town. Monarch offers 800 acres of skiable terrain, excluding cat skiing terrain. The resort is serviced by seven lifts that access 67 runs ranging from fantastic tree skiing, wide-open bowls, and long gentle cruisers.
