Mt. Bachelor ski resort in Oregon opens for the season today.
Bachelor has seen 60″ of snow so far this season and they’re sitting on a 12-26″ snowpack.
1 lift open = Sunshine Accelerator.
Plans to open Pine Martin & Skyliner chairlifts tomorrow.
Up to 13″ of snow is forecast at Mt. Bachelor in the next 4 days and snow is forecast everyday for the next 7 days.
“Opening Day! With the forecast of significant snow into the holiday weekend, we’re stoked to announce that we’re opening today Friday, November 25. Today’s operations will be very limited – with only the Sunshine Accelerator lift open. Easier terrain and a small set of rails will be in place. Lift tickets will be $35 for adults and $25 for other ages. All of our West Village services will be open & available, with breakfast starting in Cocoa’s Cafe at 7:30 a.m. and the sales center & season pass pick-up desk open by 8:30 a.m. The Nordic Center and Snowblast Tubing (walk-up only) will also be open today.
Assuming Mother Nature delivers, we’re planning to add the Pine Marten and Skyliner lifts to the schedule starting Saturday.” – Bachelor, today
Bachelor just put in a new chair, Cloudchaser, this summer that added 635 acres of new terrain and 13 runs making Bachelor the 5th largest ski resort in the USA at 4,300 skiable acres.
Mt. Bachelor has one of the longest ski seasons in the Pacific Northwest as Bachelor is the highest elevation ski resort in Oregon and Washington.
