Friday madness on Sam’s Ridge 12/18/15

Oh man, what a fun winter and its only December! ย Mt. Baker has the deepest snowpack in North America and its only going to get deeper. ย It remained cold and snowed pretty much all week and nuked on Friday allowing for great conditions heading into the weekend. ย The snow is awesome. ย Everyone is happy.

Baker has received the most snowfall in North America this season at 222″ of snow and they have the deepest snowpack in North America at 104-142″.

There is a Winter Storm Warning for tonight (Saturday) with a forecast of up to 10″ overnight! ย The powder will be replenished by morning so get ready for another Sunday Funday. ย With 96″ at the base of Heather Meadows and 134″ at the base of Pan Dome, bring your friends because there’s enough powder for everyone.

Please note: backcountry conditions are scary right now! ย Check the NWAC forecast if you must adventure out of the Baker Ski Area boundary.
