Friday madness on Sam’s Ridge 12/18/15

Oh man, what a fun winter and its only December!  Mt. Baker has the deepest snowpack in North America and its only going to get deeper.  It remained cold and snowed pretty much all week and nuked on Friday allowing for great conditions heading into the weekend.  The snow is awesome.  Everyone is happy.

Baker has received the most snowfall in North America this season at 222″ of snow and they have the deepest snowpack in North America at 104-142″.

There is a Winter Storm Warning for tonight (Saturday) with a forecast of up to 10″ overnight!  The powder will be replenished by morning so get ready for another Sunday Funday.  With 96″ at the base of Heather Meadows and 134″ at the base of Pan Dome, bring your friends because there’s enough powder for everyone.

Please note: backcountry conditions are scary right now!  Check the NWAC forecast if you must adventure out of the Baker Ski Area boundary.
