Mt. Everest Summited Today Via the South for the First Time in 3 Years

9 Sherpa using supplemental oxygen became the first to summit on the South Side of Everest in the past 3 years. Lots of friends in the fixing team, and they called us from the summit at 5pm, exhilarated. Congratulations!” – Adrian Ballinger, Alpenglow Expeditions

 

Because of the two avalanche disasters above, no one climbed Everest in 2014 and 2015 from the South Side. ย 

A big congrats to the super-human Sherpa who summited and fixed lines to the summit today!ย  Such badasses.
