The new Red Dog six pack

This is what Squaw Valley skiers have been waiting for.  We wanted a high speed Red Dog chair to mitigate the increasing crowds that form on storm days when the upper mountain is closed.  This will help dissipate those crowds considerably.

Now the question will be…  KT or Red Dog on storm day mornings…  Red Dog is gonna get a lot more love this coming season.

NEW RED DOG LIFT:

– 2,400 skiers per hour

– 18 towers

– Lower base terminal

– From 6,230 feet to 7,520 feet with approximately the same top and base areas

– 50 trees will be chopped down or trimmed and 12 dead ones will be cut down

OLD RED DOG LIFT:

– Fixed grip triple chair

– 3,700 feet long with 16 towers

– 1,800 skiers per hour

  1. This is good. Red Dog is gonna get ripped in half in about 1 hour (2,400 skiers) but I’d rather ski torn up snow than wait in line.

Got an opinion? Let us know...
