NOAA: Much of California Sees 800% of Avg. Precipitation in July

Large swathsย of California have received 800% of normal precipitation for the first 10 days of July. ย We even had a Water Spout on Lake Tahoe, CA and 9,624′ Tioga Pass in Yosemite, CA was closed for 3 hours on Wednesday due to snow. ย The weather in California in July has been crazy so far.

But it’s not nearly enough. ย California is still in an “Exceptional” drought. ย No this extra wet early July did not even make a dent in the drought.
