The National Weather Service has issued Winter Storm Warnings & Winter Weather Advisories for Colorado. They are in effect until midnight tonight. High winds and heavy snowfall are forecasted to impact the area throughout this time period.

This storm is relatively typical, as a rise in elevation will lead to high snowfall accumulations and more dangerous travel conditions.

Including the cities of Columbine, Hahns Peak, Toponas, Aspen,
Vail, Snowmass, Crested Butte, Taylor Park, Marble, Buford,
and Trappers Lake

...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL MIDNIGHT MST
TONIGHT...

* WHAT...Heavy snow and blowing snow is expected. Plan on
  difficult travel conditions. Total snow accumulations of 8 to
  16 inches, with localized amounts up to 20 inches, are
  expected.

* WHERE...Elkhead and Park Mountains, Grand and Battlement Mesas,
  Gore and Elk Mountains/Central Mountain Valleys, West Elk and
  Sawatch Mountains and Flat Tops.

* WHEN...Until midnight MST Thursday night.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Winds gusting as high as 55 mph will
  cause widespread blowing and drifting snow.
