Mt. Norquay Banff announced via their social media yesterday that they will open for the 20/21 season this Saturday, October 24th.

The date will mark two significant milestones; the earliest the resort has EVER opened in their 95-year history, and they will be the first resort in Canada to open for the season.ย Last season they opened on November 1st.
Regions of Alberta and British Columbia have received up to two feet of snow the last few days as winter arrived with a bang, and with the potential for a few more inches before Saturday, the opening day should be a day to remember.

Thanks to all the snowfall and chilly temps we’ve seen lately, we’ve been busy enhancing the natural conditions with lots of snow-making to get ready for the big day.And now, it’s almost time to get out on the mountain!!For opening day, Cascade Chair, Cascade Lodge, and Sundance Carpet (for our beginners and small skiers / boarders) will all be accessible! Mt. Norquay is a mountain and ski resort in Banff National Park, Canada, that lies directly northwest of the Town of Banff. The regular ski season starts early December and ends mid-April. Mount Norquay is one of three major ski resorts located in the Banff National Park.
