It’s Monday yet again, which of course means its time for some new music for your listening pleasure. For this weeks edition of Music Mondays we bring you a band that many may already be familiar with, Of Monsters And Men. Gaining mass popularity over the last year with their hit song, “Little Talks”, this folkie pop band from Iceland has brought a new style of music to the ever repetitive genres on the radio.
Formed in 2009 in Iceland, the band won Músiktilraunir, a battle of the bands style event in Iceland in 2010. Starting on this success they released an EP My Head is an Animal, and reached the top of the charts in Iceland, Australia, and the US. The band mixes the styles of indie rock, and folk, producing a sound unlike many. With a great unique sound, entertaining music videos, and lively performances, Of Monsters and Men is a band definitely worth checking out.
