With late-season storms and more bluebird days on the way, Palisades Tahoe, California, is an unparalleled spring destination, boasting the longest skiing and riding season in Lake Tahoe. There is much to love about spring at Palisades Tahoe, from the corn snow and crazy events to live music and après afternoons, once again proving why the resort is the official Spring Skiing Capital®.

Projected Operations

Palisades Tahoe will be open for skiing and riding through Memorial Day. Alpine will close on April 28, but Palisades will remain open seven days a week through closing. Check out the Palisades Tahoe operations blog for the most up-to-date operations information.

Signature Spring Events

Palisades Tahoe’s fan-favorite spring events are back, drawing crowds from near and far.

WinterWonderGrass, April 5-7: Musical performances have always been integral to the spring skiing experience at Palisades Tahoe. WinterWonderGrass returns April 5-7 for an epic lineup of over 25 bands in the most beautiful outdoor venue with a view of Tram Face.

NEW Rail Jam, April 19: A brand new rail jam event is here at Palisades Tahoe on Friday, April 19, from 4-7 p.m. This event combines terrain parks with fun, friendly competition. There will be live music, judges, and a thrilling competition to see who can bring the heat on the rails. There will be four categories (Men’s Ski, Men’s Snowboard, Women’s Ski, and Women’s Snowboard) and two age groups (youth and adult).

Earth Day, April 20: Tahoe Truckee Earth Day Festival returns to The Village at Palisades Tahoe on Saturday, April 20, for one of the largest Earth Day celebrations in the area. This free community event takes place from 11 am – 5 pm, and it offers opportunities for the whole family to learn about recycling, composting, renewable energy, and sustainability through hands-on activities. The festival will feature live music, a trashion show, raffles, and educational booths.

Spring Tracks feat G Love, April 20: Spring Tracks is back for its’ third season! On Saturday, April 20, at 5 pm, Spring Tracks starts with a free live performance featuring G Love on the KT Deck. This performance follows our popular Tahoe Truckee Earth Day event in The Village at Palisades Tahoe. More information will come on upcoming Spring Tracks artists and dates.

Snow Golf, April 27: The 38th annual Snow Golf Tournament returns to Alpine on Saturday, April 27, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. as teams compete across the only top-to-bottom snow golf course. The ten-hole tournament tees off at the top of Summit chair and ends at the Chalet for a mid-mountain, Caddyshack-themed afterparty. Registration is free, groups of four are encouraged, and prizes will be awarded. The date is subject to change based on weather conditions.

Cushing Crossing, May 4: The 32nd annual Cushing Crossing, the original pond skim, returns on Saturday, May 4, from 1 – 3 pm. Under the critical eye of five celebrity judges, the bravest skiers and riders attempt to traverse Cushing Pond while sporting their best costumes. Participants can compete across several categories – Ski, Snowboard, and Unlimited (any other apparatus of ski and snowboard origin) – including a special prize pack for the winner. The date is subject to change, and registration takes place on the morning of the event.

Made in Tahoe, May 25-26: Made in Tahoe returns to Palisades Tahoe on May 25 & 26 from 11 am – 5 pm to celebrate the wares inspired by the Lake Tahoe Basin or made by local artisans, businesses, chefs, organizations, and entertainers. Explore and experience this rich community full of talented creators while enjoying various local food and beer, with all drink proceeds benefiting the Tahoe Food Hub.

Ticket Deals & Ikon Pass Spring Access

Experience the Spring Skiing Capital with several new seasonal ticket deals:

Learn to Ski and Ride Special: On April 6 and 7, take advantage of this special program designed for first-time skiers or snowboarders. For $109, guests will receive a 2.5-hour beginner lesson, a limited beginner lift ticket, and rental equipment. With morning and afternoon lesson times to choose from, this special is available at both Palisades and Alpine Adult Ski Schools and Kids Ski Schools. Tickets can be purchased here.

Spring Ticket Trio Sale: Share the spring love and ski or ride any three days this spring for just $160/day, valid through the end of the 23/24 season. Use all the tickets or share them with others, as they are transferable. The Spring Ticket Trio can be purchased here.

24/25 Ikon Pass Spring Access: Skiers and riders who purchase a 24/25 Ikon Pass can start using it at Palisades Tahoe on Monday, April 1.
