Park City Mountain, UT, Announces Opening Date for its 60th Winter Season

PARK CITY, Utah – Aug. 16, 2023 – Park City Mountain is excited to announce its target opening date for the 2023-24 winter season will be Friday, Nov. 17, at both Park City Mountain Village and Canyons Village. The resort will be celebrating its 60th anniversary this season with signature events, concerts and art installations.

With more than 300 runs, 42 lifts, 6 terrain parks and dedicated learning areas, there are options for skiers and snowboarders of all levels at Park City Mountain. As the largest ski resort in the United States, guests can ski or snowboard directly from Park City’s world-class slopes to vibrant Park City Main Street — or explore a variety of dining options and ski-in ski-out lodging at Canyons Village.

New this winter, guests will be able to take in a scenic 360-degree view from the new cabins on the Red Pine Gondola on their way from the Canyons Village base area to Red Pine Lodge at mid-mountain.

Enjoy elevated dining across all of Park City Mountain this winter with new signature dishes featured at all our restaurants. Highlights include an ahi tuna poke bowl at Mid-Mountain Lodge, chicken parmesan hoagie at Summit House, taco salad at Sun Lodge and the return of our delicious signature gyro to Miners Camp. Park City Mountain will also be focusing on health- forward meals, including offering fresh salads at Legacy Café.

Enjoy signature events all season long at Park City Mountain. Celebrate the holidays at Park City Mountain with the annual tree lighting at Canyons Village and Santa’s grand entrance to Park City via Town Lift. In February, Queerski returns to celebrate the LGBTQIA+ community.

Guests planning to visit this winter are encouraged to purchase their lift access in advance, whether as an Epic Pass, an Epic Day Pass or a lift ticket. Lift tickets will be limited every day during the 2023-24 season in order to prioritize the guest experience. If tickets are sold out online, guests will not be able to purchase them at ticket windows.

Parking at Park City Mountain Village

The parking experience at both the Mountain Village and Canyons Village base areas will remain largely the same as the 2022/23 winter season. The Mountain Village base area will operate under a reservation system with elements of paid parking, free parking, carpooling and transit incentives. At Canyons Village, parking in the Cabriolet lot will be available for free on a first-come, first-served basis. There are paid lots in the Upper Village and Pendry, available on a first-come, first-served basis. Parking reservations are not available in the Canyons Village base area. Winter Lodging Sale

For a limited time, travelers who book their winter trips in advance will receive discounted rates on lodging. Epic Pass holders can take advantage of the deal sooner with early access to the sale starting Aug. 25. Plus, Epic Pass holders receive an additional 20% off lodging rates with Epic Mountain Rewards.
