Beaver Creek Resort, CO, opened yesterday morning, two days earlier than planned.
More than 50 inches of early-season snow and favorable snowmaking temperatures allowed for more than 200 acres of terrain on opening day. With top-to-bottom skiing from Red Buffalo Park to Gold Dust to Haymeadow Park, the resort opened on a perfect bluebird day.
Guests were treated to fresh-baked signature chocolate chip cookies and hot chocolate to keep warm in the chilly morning temps, and DJs at the Centennial Base Area and Spruce Saddle kept the vibes high while the lifts spun. Of course, 3:00 pm Cookie Time is still to come every day this season.
