The North Shore of Oahu, Hawaii is the Alaska of surfing. Finally, they have helicopter footage to give a close glimpse of just what is going on out there on that wave. From this close up angle, you can really see how gnarly things are out there at Pipeline. Big boys only.
The shots with only one surfer out are of Kelly Slater the day he won the Pipeline Masters in December 2013. The shots with tons of guys out are of normal good, crowded days at Pipe.
This video was shot on a remote control helicopter with a camera on it.
