Two ski resort employees have admitted that they left their two-year-old toddler in their car while they skied for the day.

Katelynn Brent, 21, and Cory Ahern, 29, were pulled over by the police as they left Killington Resort, VT, on February 8th after reports of a child “left alone and unattended” in the car.

The pair initially denied the accusations before later admitting their guilt. Both said they checked in on the toddler in the car after each run.

The police report says that their ski passes had been scanned through RFID gates ten times during the day.

High temperatures for the day were recorded as 38ºF but dipped as low as 28ºF. The car with the toddler in was not left running.

Brent has been charged with DUI and cruelty to a child and Ahern with cruelty to a child.
