A man kayaking off the coast of New Zealand’s South Island was slapped across the face by an octopus wielding seal. Yep, you heard that right, a seal launched an octopus right into the chops of the kayaker, who managed to capture it on video. If he hadn’t, I don’t think anybody would have believed him!
The video shows the seal breaching the surface with the octopus between its jaws, and then flinging it at kayaker Kyle Mulinder.
Mulinder’s Instagram post says: “My face happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.”
