Silverton didnโt provide a single word to accompany these photos. They didnโt need to. The pictures say it all.
It was clearly about 2 feet deep in spots. There was likely avy danger and some weather as they were skiing in the trees. It was obviously a very good day.
Silverton and Southwestern Colorado in general has gotten quite a bit of snow already this season. It remains to be seen if that will be a good or a bad thing. Early Colorado snow can turn into a rotten faceted weak layer that can plague an entire season.
โฆor it can just keep snowing all season long and simply create a stellar snowpack that produces smiles and good times all season long. Weโll just have to wait and see.
Regardless, October 11th in Silverton, Colorado was an unreal day.
that looks awesome !
Game on.
So, why am I not skiing right now?
