Snowbasin Resort, UT is pleased to announce major capital investments to improve the guest experience. These include ease of service in Earl’s Lodge, increased snowmaking, a new relocated medical clinic, expanded Family Zone & Bear Hollow area, additional parking and welcoming back NASTAR for the upcoming 2019-2020 winter season.
“Coming off of such a brilliant 2018-2019 season, we are thrilled to bring improvements to enhance the guest experience starting this winter season. Between the renovations to Earl’s Lodge, additional on-mountain snowmaking on Mt. Ogden Bowl Road, the relocation of the on-mountain clinic to the base area, expansion of new family zone-specific runs, additional parking and welcoming back NASTAR we plan to be very busy this fall and invite you to join us this winter to experience the new improvements,” says General Manager, Davy Ratchford.
The servery in Earl’s Lodge will receive a major upgrade that will increase the ease of guest flow and speed of service with additional grab-and-go options, elevated food quality, and new food and beverage stations. Snowbasin favorite menu items like the cheese fries will remain.
Last summer, significant resources were invested to create a better intermediate experience off the John Paul lift with the widening of Mt Ogden Bowl Road. This improved experience was exceptionally well received by guests and opened up more skiing and riding to that area of the mountain for many. This summer Snowbasin will be adding snowmaking to that area to accelerate early season opening of the John Paul lift.
In addition, Snowbasin is removing the medical clinic building from the Powder Puff area by the base of Wildcat lift. That space will provide easier access to the Wildcat chair for all guests and expand the beginner terrain footprint in the base area. Snowbasin is grateful for the long-standing partnership with Intermountain Health Care, and for the new clinic facility that will be built in the base area.
With Snowbasin’s continued effort to improve Bear Hollow and grow the Family Zone, Snowbasin plans to create a new gladed tree skiing area specifically made for families and kids as well as add another intermediate run off of Wildcat Express. Snowbasin will also increase the parking capacity through multiple initiatives that include better snow removal plans and overflow parking with increased shuttle
