Snowbasin Debuts 19-20 Season with Top-to-Bottom Skiing/Riding & New Earl’s Servery

Due to the hard work of Snowbasin’s staff and recent winter storm delivering over 2 feet of snow in the past 48 hours with more on the way, Snowbasin’s Opening Day is now Friday, November 29 at 9:00 am. It will feature top-to-bottom skiing from Needles Gondola, Middle Bowl Triple, and Littlecat Express.

Davy Ratchford, General Manager says, “I am incredibly proud of my team for making it possible to open this Friday. Mother Nature absolutely helped but ultimately it came down to the dedication and hard work of many departments at Snowbasin to make this happen. We operate with two things in mind always – Service and Safety. We want to provide the best product possible and do it in the safest way. In this early season and on limited terrain we implore you to slow down, pay attention to those around you and stay on open marked runs. We will open as much terrain and as many lifts as possible as the days go on. Please remember to be civil to other skiers and riders as well as the Snowbasin employees who are working tirelessly to create a great experience for you. There is plenty of mountain to go around and a long season in front of us!”

Snowbasin Resort will celebrate opening day with first gondola prizes, free t-shirts and helmet decals for the first 100 guests in line. It will feature a festive atmosphere with overnight camping permitted, a DJ on the plaza and social giveaways by tagging #snowbasinopeningday in photos throughout the day. In addition, there will be a grand opening ribbon cutting of Earl’s Servery at 10:30 am.

Open runs will include Sweet Revenge, Porky Traverse, Middle Bowl Traverse, Bear Hollow, Snowshoe, School Hill, Powder Puff, and a small terrain park. The Grizzly Center will be open from 8:00 am – 5:00 pm for lessons, tuning, shopping, and rentals. The Activities Desk in Earl’s Lodge will be open 8:30 am – 4:30 pm for pass printing. Dining will be available in the newly renovated Earl’s Lodge and on top of the mountain at Needles Lodge.
